- About half a mile past Combe Gibbet. BOAT (Byway Open to All Traffic) -- pretty rough, might only suit Land Rover type vehicles. 51.356955, -1.486805. Track up to the Gibbet: zerobits.

HAM HILL -- Nature Reserve, Wiltshire Wildlife Trust. Tony: very unusual small reserve with lots of rare wild flowers and butterflies; used to walk down through here years ago; excellent spot for sledging in the winter.
Combe Gibbet -- boyhood challenge Ham Hill to Combe Gibbet in winter mud; Hillman Imp van doughnut on the drive shaft, hours in the freezing cold with cousin Bobby. Wording kept from the pin.
Your walk will take you right up passed the gliding club, so keep your eyes open or a glider could land on your head!
